I have a 1977 quarter that weighs 5.78 grams regular weight of quater is 5.67 grams, is it worth more than face value

It says it suppose to weigh 5.67 grams

And I have another quarter 1977 that weighs 5.49 grams 

Would like some advice because I'm new to coin collecting

If I'm not mistaken, coin weight tolerances are about .20g. Looks like yours are within tolerances.

It’s likely that neither quarter has any extra value. As mentioned, not all coins have identical weights.

As mentioned the coins do have an allowed taolerance rang of +/- .227 grams so if they weigh between 5.44 grams and 5.9 grams they would be considered to be of normal weight.  Both of the coins you show fall within the tolerance range.

And to get the real interest of a error collector and a premium, it should really be about .3 grams or more BEYOND the tolerance range, so less than 5.14 or more than 6.2 grams.
