12avionics
Can you please explain to me if you can, how many of the 1869 over 8 Two Cent pieces exist? If I am trying to complete my competitive set do I need one of these coins. Can you give me any idea of when the last one was sold? I have been looking one for a few years and I have never seen one listed for sale anywhere and even a Google search doesn't have any information on this coin. Any help would be appreciated. Member: Seasoned Veteran DWLange Posted December 3, 2020 Member: Seasoned Veteran Share Posted December 3, 2020 There is no 1869/8 variety. This is just one of the many "overdates" that Walter Breen described and which have since proved to be simply repunched dates or defective numerals. 12avionics
I want to thank you very much for making that clear. Since it is not a Variety, it no longer is in my "Want" list . RonnieR131
RWB
When Walter Breen had no facts, he invented them....lots of them. He's likely chuckling at the continuing joke from his prison cell in Hades.

RWB
Notice Mr. Lange's title at NGC. That should be very reassuring. bsshog40
