Justin Henslee
This coin is unlike anything I have seen. I'm not sure why it looks this way. it has almost a blinding red green and gold fire blazing through the rims, fields, and devices and does not appear to be damaged( corrosion). it even has some sort of incused face almost like a 1929 gold indian head $2.50. it weighs 3.6 grams. any ideas what happened here. Coinbuf
It has glue or some sort of residue on it, that accounts for the slightly overweight weight.
Greenstang
Try soaking it in pure acetone for 24 hours and see if it is glue it should comes off. Whatever it is, it wasn't on there when the coin was struck.
James_OldeTowne
I agree with what was previously stated. There appears to be residue adhering to the coin.
