About 3 cents, retail in bulk.  Individually maybe 10 to 15 cents with the dealer nuisance charge added in.

Given that these can still be found in pocket change, it's true value is 1-cent.  However, numismatically, wholesale/retail is something like 1.5 cents to what Conder quoted.

Welcome and agree the close ups are good.  Also, when posting pics include a photo of both obverse (front) and reverse (back) of the full coin.

Welcome to the forum, sorry for you loss.  As you know from the prior replies just because a coin is old does not make it automatically valuable as a numismatic item, but priceless as a family keepsake.  If you have other coins you can use the NGC resource function to get an idea of if any are rare or common, it can be found under the resources tab on the main page.
