Hinkle
Hi everyone, I'm doing an overlay on this dime ,but confused that it's not lining up. Or is this possibly something else that I'm not seeing. I tried to research errors around that area, but came up with nothing. It's the line on the right side above the leaves. Could that possibly be part of the band. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Coinbuf
Looks like a die scratch or break.
James_OldeTowne
It looks like a nifty die defect, but with no real additional financial value. It's just a fun little discussion piece, I guess.

KyCoinKollektor
That would be a die gouge. Same scenario on the modern speared buffalo nickel and the 2000 P $1 wounded Eagle. I would definitely have it graded as all “speared” varieties seem to have a decent value. Just my two cents, no pun intended! 😜 Edited August 21, 2020 by KyCoinKollektor Word addition
