Steve Kosinski Posted August 13, 2020 Share Posted August 13, 2020 Can anyone help me identify what happened to this pennie. It looks like 47 was attempted to be stamped over 46. Coinbuf Posted August 13, 2020 Share Posted August 13, 2020 I doubt very much that it was restruck with a 1947 die, either the metal was displaced due to a hit, or because the line is so uniform and straight I am wondering if someone was experimenting and created the line.
