That's a fairly normal color for the protected areas of a well-aged silver coin. At least it's not cleaned, which is what a lot of people would already have done to it. As it is, it's heavily worn into the rims, and it may even be slightly deformed (the concave effect you describe and the irregular wear), but at least it's natural and not messed with.
