I was thinking VG.

Also I understand that these Columbian halves are much more common in lower grades then other types.Would this coin be worth anything extra or would it have to be PO-01 to be of value? What about AGs?

Thanks,

Hayden

Looks VG to me. They are very common in this grade and sell for $3-$8. A true PO-01 will likely bring ~$100.

Sorry for the noob question: What is meant by pocket piece? A coin you carry around with you I imagine.

For good luck? Just to have an old coin on your person?

Yes. And for whatever reason.
