What the heck...is that black stuff the zinc core or just gunk? If exposed it should be turning whitish.

Looks maybe like someone punched it.

Right! I thought it was  that color after been used by a certain tool. I take it Somebody's was really bored, they perfectly got that MM off of there. Seeing stuff like this, I just hope I don't find something that is genuine and turns out to be fake. I wouldnt be a happy camper lol.
