Hi All,

Came across this 1984 D penny and was wondering if it is considered a "double die", "die crack", "die fill", etc...What is the difference between these and how much does this affect value? Thanks for the help.

The area around the mintmark is caused by either strike doubling or die erosion, which do not command a premium. That green stuff looks like it's on the surface of the coin -- if it is, it's corrosion. It will continue to advance. Sorry - I think this one needs to be released back into the wild.
