Normally I'd join -- even while out-of-work, even if I had to pay -- but I'm still teed off at the ANA for colloborating with the Mint on the 1933 DE's in 2006.

GF1969, you sure mention those 1933 DE's a lot. I see all of your comments all over the place, so I know you know your stuff.. You've gained a lot of admiration from me. I've got 2 bedside novels and one audio novel going on now, but I'm folding them up and looking into the 1933 DE's, you've peaked my interest for sure. I love that stuff, just haven't got that far yet, and I am getting RWB's latest book. Thanks. And oh yes, I understand the anger at ANA, it's been over 30 yrs since the Exxon Valdez oil spill and I still won't buy Exxon gasoline to this day. LOL

It's a fascinating story and I guess I'll eventually have to read Tripp and Frankel's books (haven't so far because they sided with the Mint).  I know Burdette's new Saints book that I am reading has more info in the 1933 section but I promised myself I wouldn't skip-ahead to that part or the years for the coins I have.  So I'm about 350 pages short, stuck at 1911 or 1912. 

P.S.  Exxon itself doesn't own the gas stations.
