There is currently one being auctioned on Ebay. The starting price is 99 cents, with 56 cents shipping, and there are no takers with less than one day left. That makes me think the value is under a dollar.

Not likely, even if they were still legal tender, this was from before the revaluation in 1992.  If they were legal tender it would still take about 19,000 of them to equal a US $1.
