Should I Get 1855-O Seated Lib Half Dollar Graded?

I have a seated liberty half dollar and am not sure if I should get it graded because of the sizeable scratch on the front (see attached photo). Does anyone know or think that it would be worth the cost to send in to get graded?

I appreciate any input, I am a new member!

Thanks,

Zach

I think that the obv scratches, the one from the rim into the shield and the heavy one in the right field, would result in a details grade.  It may just be the photos but the more concerning issue is that the coin looks polished, if that is true it would not be gradeable and has lost most if not all of its numismatic value.  I wouldn't submit this coin as the value is so substantially reduced that you would be unable to recover the fees if selling is your end goal.  If you want to have it in a holder to protect it from further damage and hand down to heirs then an airtight holder would be the way to go.
