1906 indian head penny 0

A 1906 indian head penny is supposed to weigh 3.11g. Mine only weighs 2.94g. Is it a fake? I can post pics if need be

Pictures would help but I doubt it is fake. The minimum weight for an Indian Head is 2.98g so yours is .04g underweight.

I've read that wear can take as much as 5-10% of the original metal off a coin. If yours has nearly no wear, it's kind of light for the issue. If it's well worn, that can be the cause.

Looks like a normal well worn Indian Head. Maybe a little on the light side due to wear.
