1772 coin, ever seen with this pin? 0

Hello all,

I know that this coin is a "1772 Bavaria 1 Thaler German States Maximilian III Joseph" silver Coin, but I have never seen it with this pin added.

Has anybody ever seen this done. I suspect this is the work of an amateur and doesn't mean it's a special edition, was done for a special occassion/persons, etc.

Someone welded it on (and abused the reverse badly...or perhaps someone else did). It's less special than an ordinary worn version because it's been actively mutilated.
