So, they are proof coins, and not uncirculated.

There were no uncirculated coins made in San Francisco in 1978, only proofs, so that was why I was asking.

At 2 bucks apiece with free shipping, I don't think you did bad, since that is about what they are selling for on Ebay, but I am not crazy about a site that markets '78 proof quarters as "rare-antique," since they are neither. With a mintage of over 3 million, and none being lost to the melting pot, they are certainly not remotely "rare," and I also don't believe something from 1978 can be considered "antique" in anyone's book. Calling them "un-circulated" is also not accurate, since there is a difference between proof and uncirculated coins.
