Did they make any 82 pennies out of zinc instead of copper? Wasnt that the transition year?

Need some replays asap if possible. It weighs 2.5g. Instead of 3.1g.  So I know it isn't copper. It's a 1982 penny.

They made both kinds that year.

That's what I thought. So was sort of transition year then. Know the 83copper iswort a small fortune lol.

What you really need to look out for is a 1982D Copper Small Date.

Now those are worth big bucks. Chances of finding one are pretty slim but still worth the look.

This belief is the one that is just a "bridge too far" for me to spend ANY time on. You'll never catch me weighing 1982-D Small Dates. But then again, I never buy lottery tickets, either,
