This question, and your question about the Three Cent Nickel could have been answered by a quick look at a copy of the RedBook. I would suggest that everyone who aspires to collect US coins, even errors and varieties, should own one. You can find them in used book stores for a few dollars - sometimes less.

Abebooks currently has 9 copies of the 2014 edition priced under $4 including shipping.  Considering media mail is I believe $2.55 you are actually paying less than $1.45 for the book itself.  For all the information that is in the book that HAS to be one of the best bargains in numismatics.
