Last night I pulled these 2 coins from the same coin roll..

My ?. Is with and answer is. What would be your observation mine would be A mint error on both

Looks like PMD to me.

I am not sure what you are asking about on the 2005, but the 2018 D has been damaged, and the zinc core is showing through the copper plating.

What are you seeing on the 2005? What I see is what appears to be staining Just Bob is right on the 2018, that is zinc rot showing that will just get worse.

Remember, it is only a mint error if it happens during the striking of the coin, anything that happens after that is damage.
