Hi Mason,

Well, in looking at your coin, the S is correct for a 1935-S.  As far as the 5 goes, I'm thinking you have some post minting damage as it looks like it's been hit by another coin or something which slightly deformed the 5.  It's definitely PMD as there is no way that what happened to the 5 happened during striking.
