I think true hobo nickels are rather interesting, but most of the so called hobo nickels you see are modern pieces, and most are poor quality.  Then there are the modern engraved coins which can be quite good works of art but which are not really hobo nickels.  I wish they wouldn't refer to them as such.

It depends whether you are referring to genuine hobo coins

or the massed  produced novelty hobo coins coming out of China
