Counterfeit or Error, 2012 p Magnetic Quarter?

 2012 p Washington Quarter, Pocket change . I thought this quarter was a silver coin, since no visible copper on the edge, but 5.7 grams and magnetic. I will appreciate any information on this coin.

Just Bob, it's not in an holder, its stuck to a magnet.

Nickel plated.  The plating hides the copper edge, and the pure nickel plating is magnetic.

Conder 101, you're right, I brushed the edge of both coins, with sandpaper, and bang! copper. 

Thank you, I just learn about magnetic nickel alloys, you're a Pro.
