Just got back into coin collecting and came across this curious 1873 CC trade dollar

Photos are pretty far away but surfaces look pitted, details are mushy and the toning looks wrong. Is this just a problem coin or is this a fake?

Ive been away from the hobby for a decade so I can't really tell which way it is... Anyone have an opinion?
