It looks like the small date to me I only see the distance from date to mint mark as both father away. Am I not seeing something obvious that I should be?

I'm so glad I was able to help you out Mdlock, and thank you so much for letting me know that.  I really needed some positives today, and you gave me my second one!  The 1982 Large and Small Dates can be very tricky until you see good photos of them side by side.  It took me a bit to get them down at first, too.  Best of luck with your hunt!
