Die Breaks Value ???

I have a Jefferson nickel, 1940 S, that has multiple cud’s on the obverse and a die crack on the reverse that extends across the entire coin. The writing also shows heavy die erosion. Do collectors value this type of mint error? I’m thinking off sending it into be cleaned and certified.
