Strange 1988-D Memorial Cent 0

I found this one in some change I got back from a liquor store.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but its pretty:3

From what I see, you have a 1988-D that is a late die state, has some plating blisters or both.  It does appear to have some nice toning, though.  Nothing there that would increase the value, but not a bad find in pocket change either.  Have you checked the reverse for the Reverse of 1989 variety?  Here's the link to it on Variety Plus:

It's worth checking your 1988 cents from both mints for this variety.
