1872 shield nickel ddo?

Hello all. Very new to coin collecting. Came across this coin and was wondering what variety type coin this may be. I realize this coin is not in the best condition however is there any value for it given its variety? Any help would be appreciated.

You have an 1872 shield nickel, very worn.  I see no evidence of a DDO, it does have value but not a lot.  Probably not more than $5 or so.
