Assuming that is a raised ridge connecting the tops of the letters in the motto, it looks like a die crack.

I was thinking die crack but didnt know they got that long, thank you Bob, is it worth anything its a 1984. I am just proud to have found it

With errors, there is no price list like there is on, for example, an MS67 RD Lincoln Cent. For someone who sees it as just a novelty, it might be worth only a small premium. For someone who is collecting Lincolns with die cracks by year, and is only lacking a 1984 to complete his/her set, it could be worth a lot. My suggestion would be to do some searching on Ebay and see if you can find something similar to compare it to.
