Mint documents July 1851 through Dec 1953 Now on NNP

Two additional volumes of original U.S. Mint letters have been incorporated into the NNP digital database. These are available free to all users.

NARA RG104 E-216 vol 09 - 7/3/1851 to 12/29/1852. Peale investigation; losses on CA gold dust; Moffat gold ingots, etc.
NARA RG104 E-216 vol 10 - 1/1/1853 to 12/31/1853. Includes 1853 arrows/rays changes; artist competition for new designs; ring dollar, etc.

Great work, Roger and all associated with the NNP, such as Len Augsberger.

It's clear that documents in these volumes, and others in E-216, were selected from Mint files at a much later date than is on the letters. Also, there seem to be on selected topics, so the original files likely included much more than we see here or in other files.
