Was it quality or just the steps?

Check out the following two heritage auctions, 1943/2-P PCGS MS66 and the 1943/2-P ANACS MS65 5 Steps .

I had the chance in seeing both of these coins and the ANACS coin was the better quality coin in respect to strike, grade and of course, steps! The strike could have been better but it was a whole lot better then the coin in the Pcgs holder.

The 1940-D has a colorful obverse but the rest of the coins in that auction didn't impress me as quality coins for their assigned grades. I do believe the 1939-D rev of 38 had 5 complete steps and that, you don't see very often. But congrats to the winners anyway! 27_laughing.gif
