NGC will assign a VarietyPlus number to a previously unknown repunched mintmark variety, if the variety is distinct enough and of sufficient interest to other collectors that it would command some premium. It also has to be readily distinguishable from other, similar varieties that it's features can be captured by our photographer. If you have a good quality photo of your own, you may send it to my attention at DLange@NGCcoin.com. Otherwise, it will be necessary to submit the coin for grading and VarietyPlus service to determine its merit.
