I have a 1796 Silver dollar. VF detail and also has been repaired and whizzed. Was wondering what the value is on this coin. Sorry i'm new to the coin collecting game

Welcome to the forum.

It's difficult to place a value on a details graded coin of that type, but my guess woudl be in the $1500-$2000 range.

Curiously, how did you end up with a coin like that, being "new to the collecting game"?
