NGC/PCGS Holders that are sealed with hair in them

If a hair or other piece of junk is found in a holder, do they reslab it for free?

This is gross. NGC has publicly posted to specific posters that they would reholder for free, but you need to call customer service to confirm that they still offer this. I don't know what PCGS's policy is.

 

Here is another idea: Flip the coin on eBay as being a Clarence Thomas slab edition.

They would almost certainly reholder it for free, but you may have to pay shipping/insurance.

While very rare, if a foreign object is somehow sealed in a slab and is not caught, NGC will fix it free of charge, and will also cover shipping.

I've had errors like that fixed for free at the major shows like FUN. That would save you the shipping costs if you happened to go to a show like that.
