PCGS policy and the banning of greg evp and dakra

50 posts in this topic

There's already 3 begging threads @ PCGS asking David Hall to let Mr. Mean & Nasty back in. Somebody called him a hero.

You guy's buddies would be soooo crushed to see how they are talked about behind their back.

I got a box of jelly doughnuts with fresh grub maggots if any of you are hungry.

I heard from a "reliable source" that secret files are being started on all of the gmarguli's supporters.

Infidels will be disappeared leaving the hardliner PCGS party members. Certain big time dealers that have been re-educated by the Party will be in charge of these Death Squads. All criticism will be purged for the good of the Party.

Neighboring bulletin boards are preparing for a new influx of political refugees.

When asked for his comments Colorized Proof Panda Specialist Chairman Mao Tse-tung was quoted as saying "To Be Attacked by the Enemy Is Not a Bad Thing but a Good Thing."

To those of you who have spoken negatively about Bear (and some of you guys are my buddies, at least as far as I'm concerned) - shame on you!

Surely, there are others, actually derseving of critical comments. If you wanted to complain about someone, why not choose a troll and/or or someone who constantly attacked other forum members, rather than a nice guy, who loves coins and treats people with respect.

I think if you had a problem with him, you should have said it there, rather than here.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled off-topic discussion.

Mark I sent you a PM, I stand by what I said here and what I said there. People have nicely suggested to him that they are tired of his harangues too, even tho he tries to couch them in wisdomic ways. To many of us it is condescending and tiresome. If you are going to complain about threads being filled with noncoin comments then don't be guilty of it yourself.

He and I have worked out our differences in PM's. As I hope you and I do too.

This has been an interesting and entertaining thread. Also about the most active of any NGC thread I have seen.

There has been some very harsh threads bashing PCGS on the CU boards and I guess ole Homerun had to take a stand. On the other hand PCGS didn't hang the moon and neither did NGC!

Differing opinions make the these boards and life interesting. I hope we can all respect each others opinions! It would be impossible not to offend someone. You can't tell a person's tone of voice in an e-mail...

Mark,

I don't disagree that Bear is a nice guy. When I met him he seemed nice and friendly. HOWEVER, he is not a saint. He attacked me in the Open Forum. He got there and jumped into the middle of it and hadn't a clue as to what was going on. He saw a bunch of people posting mean things about others and tried to push his viewpoints on us. Little did he know that many of us are friends on that forum, yet we bash each other rather meanly. That was just our want and we had done that for 2 years before he got there. Me making mean comments about TJ and HartLandMan making mean comments about Michael Dixon was just the way the forum went and we all knew it was in good fun.

He still didn't get it for quite some time, all the while going after me. Like I told him, 5,000 posts and not a single one about coins. Give it a rest. There are only so many jelly donuts you can eat before you vomit.

As for you, you're a good guy. I've got a jelly donut for you and a few words of wisdom...puke.... smile.gif

Greg I've figured out why you were banned. PCGS just announced an increase in grading prices. Smart cookies, they knew that would get lost in all the bruhaha over the expulsions on the board.

Conspiracy theories are alive and well. grin.gif Would this make POTD?

I had dinner with EVP last night and I believe he is still an active participant at PCGS if he should desire to be.

It was very nice to have met TomB. He's a really nice guy, and meeting him was one of the highlights for me.

As for his question... I'll have to give it some thought as to just how much participation I want to have over there from now on. I have great enjoyment sharing numismatic information, especially involving Bust and Seated material, with the board members. I generally prefer to do so here anyway...

I had heard that HRH was none too pleased that I posted the GregM/Salzberg post over there. lol! Oh, well. Tough friggin' ...

Anyway, I had TDN login for me and make a post to make sure that all's fine w/ my account. (Thanks, big guy!)

Apparently Stu, we are not alone. Must be a lot of us have an allergy to furry critters with jelly donuts.

I have a general comment (really a request) to the membership as a whole, and not to Eric whose quote I am using:

Please do not let this become another CU msg board. By that, just because Bear makes posts that are not numismatic in nature and a bit on the "unique" side doesn't mean we should just slam him. There's too much slamming going on across the street and not enough support for each other and open-minded acceptance of differing opinions.

The real issue is that HRH is trying to censor us. Let's make this a place we can be proud of...

Mike, you and I have a difference of opinion, but no differences to work out, as far as I'm concerned. We each spoke our mind and I'm ready to move on.

Greg, I was not aware of the open forum stuff. But, even so, that seems to be a different matter than was addressed in this thread.

No doughnuts for me, for now, but I appreciate the offer. I will miss you over there.
