Philippines Counterstamps

2 posts in this topic

I want to know who can autheniticate a Mexican 8 real KM#111.5 with counterstamped similar to Philippines KM#118 with hole and stamp on both side KM#139. The rarity by Basso and within Philippine Barrilas and monographs shows total of 19 known with 6 in the National Money collection and other coins never verified by sight only census. I have one just located and purchased from a significant auction house in London.

This coin can be authenticated by NCS. Since the coin is holed it cannot be graded by NGC. It would take a couple of weeks to complete research on such an item. Any pedigree or provenance the submitter can provide would be helpful.
