1958 D Franklins from 1958 double Mint Set

8 posts in this topic

Here are the D Franklins from the 1958 Mint Set I've been posting recently. These were the main reason I bought the set. While red is a relatively common color for 1958 D silver coins, the florescent pink seen here is much rarer. While I'm planning on using them in my Franklin Danscos, I think they both would grade well if sent in to the TPG's. I'm quite happy with both coins, and I think that Bob Campbell did an excellent job on imaging them.

The splotchyness of cardboard-tarnished coins does not appeal to me. (I understand the causes, but that doesn't improve the "look."

But, originality is nice.
