Is NGC Accepting PCGS Coins in World Competative Sets Again?

I was uploading some coins to a new World Competitive registry set today, and noticed that PCGS coins were an option. I uploaded the number for one PCGS coin, and it says it's pending NGC approval. Has something changed? Are PCGS coins allowed again? That would be a huge plus in my book if so.

The policy has not changed. It looks like there was a configuration problem with that set.

That's unfortunate. While I agree that NGC is the best for world coins, and I don't know why anyone would buy PCGS.... their coins should be allowed in the registry.

I'm kind of twisted on this one...the world coins I collect NGC is much more consistent with their grading. I've seen several coins in slabs from pcgs that were way over graded....so while it would make it easier for a registry set to be completed, however until pcgs gets more consistent I don't trust their grades on the coins....

Must be in your series - I see the exact opposite with milled 8 reales (1732-1821) where PCGS is consistently stricter with grades, especially in the AU range.

 

Milled 8 Reales are one of the only arenas of World coins where I have seen PCGS be a bit more strict (mostly with luster in AU/lowMS grades). In almost all of the areas of non-USA I collect, NGC is the preferred and more consistent grader.
