Australian $1 Coin 1984. Weird "P.M.G." engraving?

Hi. I came across this odd 1984 $1 coin.. The front has "P.M.G." engraved in it. Apparently they started making them that year... What's with the engraving? Anyone know anything about it? Is it rare? AM I RICH?! :D
