Were there any 1916-p experimental Lincoln cents Struck?

I was wondering if any body knew the answer. Were there 1916 lincoln experimental cents struck? I heard that they were but wanted to confirm. I heard that they were struck but there are arent any known.

No. Only the silver designs were struck as both patterns and experimental pieces. Many of the patterns survive, but very few of the little experimental splashers, etc.

 

New master dies were introduced in 1916 for the cent and nickel, but these had been prepared in 1915.

I do know that there are plenty of experimental U.S. coins from that year

 

There are patterns of the other series because they were just starting in 1916. The Lincoln had already been going for a few years, so there would have been no reason for patterns.
