New holder number after NCS conservation

2 posts in this topic

Hello NCS:

I sent my NGC graded 1904-O MS66 DPL Morgan in for conservation to remove some toning. You did a great job in doing this and the coin looks great. When I received the coin back from NGC in the new holder, the slab had a new number for the coin. Will this effect the population numbers when they put the new numbers in the system?

Regards, Mirrored Morgan

The new certification number will not have any effect on the population figures. We collect the old certification numbers from previously certified NGC coins so that NGC can delete their information. Only the new number for the coin will have a spot in the population report.
