A 1911 cent would have to be a gem proof to be worth the cost of authentication, grading and postage.

 

No it wouldn't. Even MS65RB's bring over $100. RD's and/or higher grade examples could bring considerably more.

It's a common Lincoln cent...hardly "worth" $10...certainly not $100 and certainly not worth wasting money on authentication.

Well, we can't see the pics, so we can't give an accurate guess. However, in 65BN the price guide says it is $140 - and I would argue that a coin worth $140 is probably not worth submitting. It would have to be higher than that (either in color or grade) to really be worth it.

 

The odds are strongly against the OP that his coin would grade that high.

You'll need the full link up to and including the .jpg tag (or whatever the file type is). Also, you can preview your post before you submit and if you don't see an image in the preview you can keep fixing it until you do.
