A tough designation to achieve in most series but Morgans.

Horrible picture (sellers), coin is very brilliant in hand.

Any coin that fits the description and technical (objective) requirements, should be PL -- regardless of denomination or faith, or nationality.

Nice token Brandon. Here are some more, slightly off topic because not coins, but still PL and nice. The Yorkshire 28a is especially amazing because of the blue toning.

Best, HT

I'll limit this to PL only, rather than cheat with DMPLs too, but here are a couple more:

I love the look of this one:

The 20th century PL Morgans have a different look to them and frequently exhibit little contrast. This one borders on DMPL:

Not sure how this one didn't get the PL designation (shrug) , but it is the most prooflike non-designated coin that I own. IMO it is fully PL, no question. The fields are completely glassy, and coated in lovely blues and pinks.

Are there any 1964-1970 PL Kennedys anybody wants to share???

Since you asked for it....

I REALLY want a 1964.... 65,66,and 67 don't really get designated as PL - any coin that looks PL is probably an SMS. It's not the same, but I've never seen a 65-67 PL. Prooflikes are known for 68 through 72 (all of them being from the D mint). Of these, the 70D is by far the most common, ranging up to 66PL (with a couple of DPLs graded). 69D is the second most common with 10 slabbed (my 65PL being the highest graded, with 2 at that grade).

Here is a 68D graded MS-65 (but which is fully PL - I just haven't submitted for the designation review).

And a 69D graded 65PL.

And a 70D graded 64PL, for good measure:

Hey PF3.14

I love those PL Kennedys! I can actually confirm without question that Proof Like 1965, 1966, and 1967 business strike Kennedys do exist!!!! Earlier this year I started buying up UNC rolls of 65-70 Kennedy halves (business strikes), and although most weren't original rolls by now, I have found several that were for sure, 100% unopened/original rolls, and in those rolls I have found multiple prooflike Kens. Also, if you go check the census data, you will see that NGC has actually designated a 1966 b.s. Kennedy in MS64PL. I happen to own that coin (paid way to much but was so spun out by the idea of a 1966 b.s. being PL, I couldn't let it go). I will get a pic posted when I have the time to do that. My biggest concern about getting these others designated PL, is that I am afraid the grader will think they are SMS when in all actuality they are PL business strikes..... we will see though, I have several of them with our hosts waiting to be graded currently. (1965-1966-1967 b.s. proof like Kennedys).

Thanks for sharing, you have some awesome PL Kennedys. I too would like 1964 P & D in PL and do not have any as of yet.
