Isn't the 40 reverse the same as the 39? The 42-o rev 39 exists which I believe to be what you are referencing.

Uhh. Yes my bad. I mean a 1842-o with Small Date plus 1842 Reverse.

There are two die marriages of 1842-O small date listed in Bill Bugert's " A Register of Liberty Seated Half Dollar Varieties, Volume III, New Orleans Branch Mint 1840-O to 1853-O" as WB-1 and WB-2. Both share the same obverse (small date) die and are listed as R5 (estimated known pieces as 31 to 75). Hope the information helps.
