20th Century Type Set Frame Coins

I decided on a whim to buy one of these frames as a decoration for my office.

 

I scoped one out that had a nice look, and asked for additional pictures of the Peace Dollar in the frame.

 

He sent me a reverse photo of the Peace Dollar, which was important, because no reverse photos were included in the ebay auction.

 

It had great color, so I quickly did a buy-it-now.

 

Got the framed set today, and quickly opened it up, and exposed the reverses, and found two nice surprises.

The obverses of both of these coins are white. They set also features nice toning on several other coins.

Have obverses been polished? Many of the coins that I see in these frames have been.

 

As for the reverses my guess is that the coins reacted with the sulfur in the cardboard in the frame. The coins must have been in the frame for quite a while.
