1936-S Oregon Trail Commemorative Half

I picked up a raw Oregon Trail Comm today at the coin show. This baby has great eye appeal and blistering white luster. I'd like to get your opinion on grade. Thanks in advance.

First impression 64 maybe 65....Not sure about the hit on the thigh and ribs of the Indian....Fields look real good..

We're on the same page and am wondering the weight of those too. Fields are phenomenal on this one.

I think that best you can hope for is an MS-64. There is a somewhat hidden hit on the Indian's ribcage that is going to pull it down quite a bit. You also have the minor line on the Indian's thigh and the obverse luster could be an issue for ultra high grade.

I have one I bought raw years ago that was virtually mark-free, but the luster was not strong so it only got an MS-64.
