Heavy Competition in the Canada Silver Commemoratives Registry

2 posts in this topic

If you find this sort of thing interesting, check out the registry competition in the Canadian Commemorative Coins:

If you are following it at all, you'll see that there are four or five collectors who are hard at it. Adding a couple of thousand dollars worth of graded coins to their sets every week. It is very interesting, as they are competing over eBay low pop commemorative coins that would normally sell for about $150-$200 each in PF70, and they are driving prices to $400-$900 each competing with each other over these coins. It truly is incredible!

I hope they really enjoy the competition and its worth the premiums they pay to "win". There isn't a dime's worth of difference between a 69 and a 70 and there are enough 70's available but not graded for a (much) larger number to end up "first"..
