Opinions on grade

I'd guess MS62-63, but as Greg said, the obverse image is too dark. There appears to be a lot of chatter, that may be showing up as the spattered golden toning in the photos. Can't be sure.

There may be nasties hiding in the shadows, but from what I see I would guess MS63. A better picture might make me adjust my grade down, but I doubt I would raise it. These big coins are allowed a lot of marks compared to a small coin of the same grade. That's one of the reasons I don't collect them. Even in high grade they look like they've been in a few too many piggy banks.

 

Their saving grace is that they tend to tone up nicely. A beautiful tone can hide a multitude of sins.
