Scratch Resistant Holder, Old Gold Stamp Holders

1) Is the NGC scratch resistant holder any optically clearer than the standard holder, and how much extra is it to add the scratch resistant holder to early bird submissions?

 

2) Does NGC offer a service where I could submit my old NGC gold stamp holder coins for regrade and only have them broken out of the holder if they upgrade?

Thanks for the questions.

 

1. The NGC Scratch-Resident EdgeView holder and the regular NGC EdgeView holder are equal in optical clarity. There is no difference in appearance. It is an additional $5 to upgade to the Scratch-Resistant holder from the Early Bird tier.

 

2. We currently offer this service, called Evaluation Tier, at trade shows where NGC is offering on-site grading. Please contact NGC Customer Service to confirm availability and show submission cutoff times. The Evaluation Tier is not available for direct submissions to NGC's office at this time.
