Does this coin look cleaned?

4 posts in this topic

I am putting together a circulated centennial set (to replace the unc centennial set I had to sell a few years back), and came across this type 2 reverse dime on eBay.

Does this look cleaned or otherwise impaired?

As long as it's problem-free, I think I got a great deal on it. smile.gif

I honestly can't tell from the pictures.....it's almost certainly been dipped in the past just looking at the color, but if it's still got some luster and if free of hairline I think you did really well.

It looks dipped, or possibly wiped with MS-70. I have bought a couple of Lincolns from "justcents" that were just OK. They looked a tad better in the images. However, both coins did end up in my set, so I guess I have no right to complain!
