Creepy Looking Roosevelt Dime -- Updated Photos

I got this coin today and just snapped these photos. I didn't see it before, but there are occluded bubbles on both sides.

I also gave it an acetone bath before taking the photos. Still thinking PMD on this one?

I agree that it's probably damage from exposure to heat, which causes any gasses trapped between the copper core and the copper-nickel outer layers to expand.
